Expanding root file system over ssh R pi

Postby kyle1 » Mon Dec 02, 2013 5:11 am

I've been trying to expand the root file system after install with Win32diskimager for about 2 day now because ive only got 2GB
of space available on my 8GB sd card. So far all i'I've been able to come up with is http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewt ... 51&t=45265 and that worked for pidora but it doesn't work so i was wondering if anyone has anyway to do this over ssh or does anyone know of another guide.

Sorry i wasn't specific enough so after ive expanded the partition i have to reboot and after i reboot i can ssh to the pi but there is no prompt for login i guess the fact that i can still ssh to it is fairly important information sorry.

So, the guide works to the point of reboot, but you get no login prompt after rebooting.
