DNS-323 D-Link NAS and Arch

Postby jskier » Thu Nov 21, 2013 2:39 pm

I know it is possible, however are there any resources on how to do it?

I have been running Alt-F custom firmware for a couple of years, however would like a more familiar and minimalistic Linux install on it, in addition to a more fresh repository.

EDIT: Yes, it is Orion.

Is that an orion?

Aside from confirming kernel support, our v5te rootfs & repo should work fine.

It seems at one point in time there was linux-orion package https://github.com/archlinuxarm/PKGBUIL ... inux-orion

There's also this thread: viewtopic.php?f=27&t=1400

Thanks for the tips.

I'll try v5te rootfs and write to a thumb drive to see if it boots with the main kernel. If not, I'll take a peek at the older linux-orion kernel packages and try another go at it.

Found some talk about DNS-325, looks like I have some hardware mods to do first.
