System goes down for poweroff during boot.

Postby tristan202 » Fri Jul 10, 2015 10:25 pm

So, today I ran a pacman -Syu on my Pi2 through ssh from my laptop. During the upgrade the pi shuts down, and now I can't boot it anymore. The last systemd message during boot is "Starting Power-OFF..."

What am I supposed to do to get it back up?

Serial log? Anything more than "it shuts down" ?

When you did the update, did it tell you to to check anything, such as cmdline.txt for the Pi?

I lost connection when it updated sshd, go figure, and after that I couldn't connect anymore.
When checking the systemd messages during boot, the last one is "Starting Power-OFF..."

Well, after some more googling, I found some threads indicating that my glibc was somewhat corrupt.

What I did next was, mounted the sd in my laptop, renamed the systemd-poweroff.service, so it wouldn't get called, and then ran a reinstall of glibc and coreutils. Now everything is back to normal.
