Lenovo S330: Error on boot

Postby Estork » Tue Jul 23, 2019 6:35 pm

Hi,
I installed http://os.archlinuxarm.org/os/ArchLinux ... est.tar.gz on a Lenovo S330 using the instructions from https://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv ... mebook-r13.
The Lenovo S330 has a Mediatek MTK8173C ARMv8 CPU, I think it is the same as on the Acer R13.
I installed everything onto a SD card.

The problem is that when I boot up the SD card, it appears that everything loads nicely, but after a few seconds I get an infinite stream of the same error:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'sbs-battery 1-000b: sbs_read_string_data: Returned block_length is longer than 0x20')

The errors make the system unusable at the moment. But it does respond to pressing the shutdown button, I can see some shutdown messages showing that it works.

A user on this forum has reported making this work with a SD card on a Lenovo S330: viewtopic.php?f=65&t=13411.

Has anyone succeeded in solving this error on the S330?
