Beginner questions regarding installation

So the download page says
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'o')ur package repositories work with any ARM device compatible with ARMv5, ARMv6, ARMv7-a, or ARMv8-a AArch64 instructions. Simply download the tarball that best fits and supply your own kernel


Now my questions are

  • How do I determine the tarball that best fits
  • What exactly does supply your own kernel mean (I have installed standard Arch before and know what a kernel is ofc, but I am wondering where to get files for my own kernel for ALARM)


    • The device I want to install ArchLinuxARM on is my old Sony Xperia T, which, according to the LineageOS Info Page, has a Dual-core Krait 1.5 GHz CPU, which is ARMv7-A (Wikipedia)

    So I should be able to install it right?
