Boards with upstream Linux support?

Postby brucecy92 » Mon May 18, 2020 12:45 am

Is there a list detailing the available ARM boards with upstream Linux kernel support?

I want to get rid of the RPi3 I use as a file server and replace it with something with decent Ethernet + USB performance (Gigabit if possible). So I am searching for a board with upstream Linux support and a performing Ethernet port. I might but "Le Potato" or "Le Frite" if I do not find something better, but they are Fast Ethernet only.

x86 hardware.
All arm requires some (many) patches to the kernel as far as I know.

(Nevertheless I like my pi and I like archarm)

most pine64 boards should also get mainline at some point if they don't already have it (like rock64)
I think rockpro64 seems to be an interesting board (PCIe port), but there is still work to do for mainline as far as I know

I know Clearfog runs on mainline and everything works.
