$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('WarheadsSE', 'W')hat we should do, is take the AUR package, update it appropriately, and then place it into the PKGBUILDs github repo with a pull request. That way, it will be available via pacman :)

Sure, i think it would be better to follow up with the newest version though and i guess i won't have time to do that in the next two weeks...

And couldn't the version that is already there for the i386/... arches be updated to include the armel option? i think there was some talk about that in the AUR with vesath's(?) package already...?

I think it's great that the logitech media server can run on that little iomega iconnect and i'd be happy to help others have an easier experience getting it running.

let me know what you have in mind

Yes, I'd like to use the LMS 7+

The package "source" has the pre-compiled i386 cpan, which is useless for us, and why I said to un-comment the build_cpan() since it then builds everything needed.

well, i used 7.7.0-1 but if i understand correctly, there's 7.7.1 at http://downloads.slimdevices.com/Logite ... -7.7.1.tgz which is the package i'll try and build a PKGBUILD based on Gaetan's and Korthaerd's that runs on my system. Once i can confirm it runs, i'll post the PKGBUILD here. Ok?

Hi,

here's the link to a src.tgz that contains all that is needed to build the latest official lms: http://www.filesonic.com/file/433453401 ... src.tar.gz (sorry, payservice but you can download as free user, too)

I can confirm it compiles and works under perl 5.14.2 on my iomega iconnect. if someone else can confirm?

The changes i made to Gaetan's and Korthaerd's package are commented w/i the PKGBUILD.

First, it told me i couldnt access it directly, now it wants me to wait 15 min to download 2.7K?

Just email it to me, yeesh. I'll put it on my pogoplug. Heck, sign up for a free account and get 5GB free.

Sorry for the dumb question:

Can anyone post the steps for installing the server on a pink pogoplug running latest archlinux?
I got the archlinux runing now for a while as ftp/samba server and want to upgrade it with squeezebox server.

i am absolutely not sure which package to choose and how to install it then.

Thanks in advance for ur patience.

BTW: i tried to compile some of those package supplied in this post, but got the error that PKGBUILD isnt installed.

There is no PKGBUILD to install.

Well, as you say. I have no access to the Plug at the moment to post the error but it definitly tells me that there is no PKGBUILD installed and so no compiling is possible.

Anyway, any advice for installing this whole thing?

You're missing the point. A PKGBUILD is essentially a bash script used by makepkg to automate build/package. There literally is no PKGBUILD to install
