Transfer from sd to sata ssd.

Hi! Please help me with simple question - how to transfer my working system arch linux arm from sd card to sata ssd.

You can use "rsync" or "cp -a" to transfer rootfs. The rest will be device specific and you didn't mention which board you have.

Is it neccessary to create partition before copying? Or may be linux have drive cloning utilites?

cubieboard1 on allwiner soc A10. Now my system with software work on sd card . I bought small ssd drive and want to transfer system from sd to ssd. Sd and SSD have same size but i suppiuse ssd more more faster.

8GB sdcard ; odroid-c2 ------- 250GB USB hard disk drive

8GB sdcard is only for booting .
250GB USB hard disk drive is for root .

perhaps 4GB sd card is OK for booting .
