WiFi-related messages in log

Postby jernst » Wed Jul 27, 2016 4:06 pm

Lots of those in the journal:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'Jul 26 19:48:43 hostname kernel: cfg80211: Timeout while waiting for CRDA to reply, restoring regulatory settings
Jul 26 19:48:43 hostname kernel: cfg80211: Restoring regulatory settings
Jul 26 19:48:43 hostname kernel: cfg80211: Kicking the queue')

What do I make out of them? Does this mean anything?

This is a Raspberry Pi, with a WiPi WiFi USB adapter, running wpa_supplicant and systemd-networkd.

All you have to do is to install crda package (and dependencies like iw) which provides a database of frequency bands to be used for WiFi transmissions in certain countries/regions.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'sudo pacman -S crda iw')

Then uncomment the right regulatory domain in /etc/conf.d/wireless-regdom
