Re installing arch

Postby espressionist » Sun Feb 26, 2017 1:20 pm

Hi everyone,

I own a Seagate GoFlex Home, on which I successfully installed arch some time ago (around 2013 I believe!)

Since then i've installed/made many experiments including mini-dlna, torrent client, DNS server, web server, AirPlay, plex, etc..

I'd really like to clean the OS and start fresh by just using it as an NFS server and keep the load at minimum level.

What would be the best way of achieving this? go for the stock firmware and re-apply arch? is there a nice and quick /re-install arch from scratch command i could use? :D

Skip to the steps for preparing the drive with the tarball. This can be done from off-device, as there are no programs run that have to be run on the device.

Thanks for the advice,

taking of the HDD and just re-formatting the /dev/sda1 worked as fine!
