questions for self signed packages

Postby tuxx » Wed Mar 15, 2017 5:09 pm

Hi all,

I am preparing a custom repository for ArchlinuxARM and I want all packages to be signed. I have created a gpg key and modified makepkg.conf file to automatically sign the packages but I'm getting errors and I am not able to sign them.

I found an alternative way with manual signing:

Code: Select all
for PACKAGE in $(/usr/bin/find . -name '*.pkg.tar.xz'); do
    /usr/bin/gpg -b ${PACKAGE}
  done

Will the above solution have the same results as when signed with makepkg?

Last but not least, I realized that although pinentry is installed, it is not functional unless gtk2 is installed. Is there any way to avoid gtk2?

Many thanks,

Michael
