Change default password on Raspberry Pi 3 ARM.

Postby Xulin » Mon Jul 10, 2017 1:38 pm

Hello all, as the title implies, I'm trying to change the default passwords for the Raspberry Pi running Arch Linux.
User alarm password is also alarm, and root is root... don't think it's a good idea to have such a weak/generic password.
How can I change both user alarm and root passwords? Thanks for your help!

After a bit of Google magic I found the answer:
You can change your password by running the command: $this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'passwd') and hitting the enter key,
which in return will ask you to verify your old password and then will let you change it to the new one.
If anyone is interested... thanks anyways.

Hi, I would suggest you get copies of these e-books:
Linux Bible by Christopher Negus
Linux Pocket Guide by Daniel J. Barrett
I have them in my Kindle and they are really handy for us who are not continously working with the shell.
