Porting the arm-linux-g++ to RHEL

Postby vijay » Tue Jul 18, 2017 6:21 am

Hi,

We have a requirement to port the existing fedora based Dev environment to RHEL 7 64bit.
Since I'm very new to this ARM compiles and cross compiling I want to understand how to proceed.
Our Code is written in c++, we are using the arm-linux-g++ (version 3) compiler 32bit to compile the Code. We are using very old Feroda 6.0. Our application is a 32bit application.
Using the same/latest compiler of arm-linux-g++ we want to compile our code in RHEL 7 64bit.
Since all the packages installed in RHEL are 64bit and not able to get a correct arm-linux-g++ 32bit version, I'm not able to compile my code.
My code use below set of libs

1. Openssl and ssl.h(for dev build)
2. libz
3. libstdc++
4. glibc
Can anyone provide the same packages for RHEL 7? Old architecture uses i386.

Kindly help me in providing relevant answers?
Thanks
Vijay

How is it that you are so locked to a 32-bit compiler? Your code should compile find on a 64-bit compiler.

I'm not able to find the exact ARM-Linux-g++ compiler which runs on RHEL 7.

Let me be clearer?

What is stopping the code from compiling as-is with the default compiler?

The target processor to run our code is ARM920Tid(wb) rev 0 (v4l). In order to do that we need a cross compiler. which is not there by default in RHEL 7.
