Odroid-c2 and cubox-i4-pro problem with systemd 236

After the update to systemd 236.0 I have had the same problems with my odroid-c2 and cubox i4-pro as per the reports at:
viewtopic.php?f=65&t=12365 and viewtopic.php?f=45&t=12364&p=57407#p57407

If anyone can suggest a workaround to get the systems running properly again I would appreciate it - or will I have to wait for fixed packages?
