Pacman could not fully load metadata for package shadow-4.5-

Postby bluenote » Thu Jan 04, 2018 4:09 am

Hi folks

I recovered my system a little while back after some disk corruption. And it seems that I didn't get through that totally unscathed.

Trying to do a pacman -Syu returns this:
Code: Select all
:: Synchronizing package databases...
 core is up to date
 extra is up to date
 community is up to date
 alarm is up to date
 aur is up to date
:: Starting full system upgrade...
resolving dependencies...
looking for conflicting packages...
warning: could not fully load metadata for package shadow-4.5-2
error: failed to prepare transaction (invalid or corrupted package)

I read through some similar threads and did a pacman -Scc and attempted to uninstall shadow, but I guess it's system required, so it doesn't uninstall and nor could I install it overtop.

I would be grateful for any advice.

thanks
