Acer Chromebook R13 on mainline kenel?

I have an Acer R13 Chromebook running the 3.18.0-11-ARCH kernel after install onto a microsd card and it is working well. However I have been researching whether anyone has tried to run mainline kernel on this machine and whether it works or has serious problems that would stop the chromebook working, but so far have found no posts anywhere with the result of any tests with mainline, so if anyone has any experience to report I would appreciate it.
