corrupted (invalid or corrupted package (PGP signature))

Postby Milliways » Sun Nov 11, 2018 10:42 am

I had an Arch implementation on a Raspberry Pi which was working OK (kernel 4.14.74-1-ARCH), but decided to update.

During the process I got an error message about keys (unfortunately I don't have detail) but this prompted me to run
`pacman-key --init`

Now whenever I try to upgrade I get a string of error messages like
File /var/cache/pacman… is corrupted (invalid or corrupted package (PGP signature)).

Did I do the wrong thing? Is this recoverable?

This is not a big deal, I have a relatively recent backup but I would like to understand.

I followed a number of links suggested by my post, and "solved" with the following (modified from these posts):-
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'sudo pacman-key --populate archlinuxarm
')
