It seems that /etc/services was changed causing problems with postfix smtps ports 465 were changed to be used by other application. I wonder what was the reason for the change.

Remember, we're down stream from arch, so changes they make affect us as well. Check their wiki as well.

Occasionally Arch will release a package update one day that might break things, but it was only a precursor to an update the next day that brought the broken application(s) back in line. Sometimes these happen at once, sometimes over the course of a day or two. We also do daily updates during the morning through afternoon (USA time), so generally speaking the best times to update your system are late night to early morning (USA time).

Like WarheadsSE said though, keep an eye on the Arch news stream and their wiki. Every change they make gets implemented here. We aren't a derivative of Arch Linux, we are (as close as technically possible) a direct ARM port of Arch Linux.
Arch Linux ARM exists and continues to grow through community support, please donate today!
