Remote Sessions Hang

Postby ironrique » Tue Mar 31, 2020 2:07 am

Have such a crazy issue that just came up.

Running the latest build of Arch on a raspberry PI 3
I had zero problems for a year until yesterday when I would SSH into the system and it will randomly hang when running commands.

it would always hang on running Top, or nano with a large file, or just running journactl to see the logs.
I tried switching to telnet, the same thing

It does not hang on the console.....only remote logins

You can exit the session and start a new one, and it will work until you run a command like above. It's not limited to those commands either.
vi would run okay most of the time.

I tried to do a journalctl -f and see if I can catch something in action.....NOTHING

UNTIL.....I would ssh into the system, then ssh into localhost. Then this works!!

I don't understand why the single ssh session will hang, but if I ssh then ssh localhost, things work.

Any ideas?
