gcc9

Postby 2sdude » Mon Dec 28, 2020 2:04 pm

I need an older gcc version to build some software. The AUR contains e.g. gcc9. However, when I try installing it, 'yay' complains gcc9 is not compatible for my architecture (rpi2b).
How do I use an older version of gcc?

I think you're going to need the entire toolchain not just gcc. Try: http://tardis.tiny-vps.com/aarm/

I guess there is no pre-built toolchain on that site? I.e. that site has the packages from which I can endeavor making my own gcc9 toolchain?
The software I am compiling had one file with about 7 errors. Maybe I should first try to fix the errors first ... and keep my fingers crossed.

That site hosts previous versions of ArchARM packages. If we shipped gcc9, you would find it there.
