Boot disk no longer mounts?

Postby meaninglessvanity » Fri Aug 19, 2011 2:47 am

I'm having a problem with my pink Pogoplug where I get no SSH access if I boot off my normal USB flash disk. If I remove it, I get the base ROM Linux, and I can mount my normal boot disk and everything looks fine. However, I tried deleting the log files in /var/log, and then booting off the flash drive, and got no SSH, so I remounted it under the ROM Linux, and there weren't any logs. It's as if it doesn't know to mount the disk to boot at all, but then, if it didn't find a boot drive, why didn't I get the ROM version?

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Try a different flash drive, or better yet a usb hard drive.
