Error around libfakeroot.so

I see a lot of messages "ERROR: ld.so: object 'libfakeroot.so' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded (cannot open shared object file): ignored." during makepkg build one package and terminates with errors.

What version of fakeroot is installed? (pacman -Ss fakeroot)

I didn't bother to view your log when I replied, just keyed in on the libfakeroot.so error. It appears that you have permission issues building in /tmp for your user. Try building elsewhere or check them.
Assuming you're building proftpd from the AUR, I can confirm that it builds on my Arch ARM aarch64 box as well as x86_64 box.

I don't know, try building in your home dir as a test.

Yes, it is proftpd pakage related problem. However, build complete and it seems I know now what is going wrong. Searching for more confirmations.
