Raspberry Pi 3 wrong kernel?

Postby Havinit » Fri Dec 31, 2021 7:07 pm

Hi,

I have archlinuxarm installed on a Pi 3, set up to run Kodi but not used much. It usually goes some months between being updated.

This time, pacman advised to replace the kernel linux-raspberrypi with linux-rpi-legacy. I agreed per default, but on reading a bit more, according to pacman the correct kernel for the Pi 3 seems to be linux-rpi.

Is this correct? If so, is switching to linux-rpi as simple as installing instead that package in pacman, or might I need to do other things?

Thanks in advance.
