Need help on Wifi - Pi-KVM

Postby hoppler » Tue Jan 04, 2022 11:29 am

Hello,

I need your help because I don't know Arch Linux that well.

What is my problem?
I have installed Pi KVM on my Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W.
This works quite well.

In order to communicate with the Raspi via SSH, I have set up a Lan-Hat on top.
Everything works perfectly.

Since the Raspi has Wi-Fi, I wanted to set up a hotspot on the Raspi so that I can access it via Wifi.

I have now tried 2 weeks and hundreds of scripts/instructions - nothing works.
Even through "nmtui" it is not possible, which I installed.

Can someone please help me and explain to me how to set up a hotspot - with a static IP.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I have set up a wireless access point on my Raspberry Pi 4 using hostapd and following the instructions on https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Software_access_point

I suggest you also try following the wiki article and report back with detailed commands (and their respective outputs / logs / configs) should you encounter any issues.
