[RESOLVED] error building calibre

Postby johnnyvibrant » Thu Sep 08, 2011 1:37 pm

Im trying to build calibre from source as the package available relies on cherrpy which is no longer available, but keep getting errors.

Can anyone help?

wget http://aur.archlinux.org/packages/ca/ca ... bzr.tar.gz

tar -zxf calibre-bzr.tar.gz

cd calibre-bzr

makepkg --asroot -Acs

bzr: ERROR: [Errno 28] No space left on deviceing stream:Estimate 126714/178818

so then i did a check to make sure i had enough space with:

df -h

Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/root 294G 3.3G 276G 2% /
/run 10M 140K 9.9M 2% /run
udev 10M 4.0K 10M 1% /dev
shm 61M 0 61M 0% /dev/shm
/dev/sda1 466G 4.7G 461G 1% /media/MOVIES
/dev/sdb1 466G 228G 238G 49% /media/FILES
tmpfs 61M 76K 61M 1% /tmp

and then

df -ih

Filesystem Inodes IUsed IFree IUse% Mounted on
/dev/root 19M 100K 19M 1% /
/run 16K 407 15K 3% /run
udev 16K 659 15K 5% /dev
shm 16K 1 16K 1% /dev/shm
/dev/sda1 0 0 0 - /media/MOVIES
/dev/sdb1 0 0 0 - /media/FILES
tmpfs 16K 40 16K 1% /tmp

but it looks like i have enough space?

As with the other thread on this issue, there still isn't a solution, and it's more than bazaar not working for you.

The old package doesn't work because it's old. The new package doesn't build because of QT issues, and there is no way to build only the content server -- the component that people primarily want in this context. Using the package sources from upstream Arch, not something out of the AUR, you'll see the actual failure that's being dealt with. Or I can just paste the build logs from each past version that's failed to build, they're all the same.

The only point is for the content server portion, which can act as a kindle library.

Well, finally got qt and especially pyqt playing nice. Calibre is now available for v5 and v7h targets, and future updates should build fine from now on.
