RPi4B not booting

Postby DutchSlav » Wed Jan 31, 2024 6:34 pm

Hey guys,
I have an RPi 4b which I'd like to convert to a home server using ALARM.
I copied the tar.gz file onto my SD card (yes, it has storage space, it's 64g) and tried to boot it.
The following process happened:
Searching for boot files -> Starting kernel -> Starting services -> Black screen with monitor showing "No signal!" / "No cable connected!"
In my config.txt I've set all the HDMI settings to their correct values. The cable and display are fine, because I can see the kernel getting booted.
SSH doesn't work either, even if I insert an ethernet cable.

Any help?

Without knowing more specifics I would encourage you to carefully repeat the installation guide steps. The guide is well written and worked for thousands of users. Sometimes it is very easy to make a simple assumption or skip a step etc. and end up with a seemingly broken system.
