I know your not using Ubuntu. I finding out more about that. It sounds like you are just one person who got some arm Linux to work with this and super easy to install it.
I got samba working. I just had make a new /etc/samba/smb.conf file. This my help others to get it started. Just have to edit a little how it is for your system.
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '[global]
workgroup = rday
server string = alarm (IP: 192.168.2.114)
local master = yes
domain master = yes
preferred master = yes
os level = 255
password server = None
guest ok = yes
guest account = root
security = SHARE
printcap name = /etc/printcap
netbios name = small
# These improve preformance
large readwrite = yes
socket options = TCP_NODELAY IPTOS_LOWDELAY SO_KEEPALIVE SO_RCVBUF=131072 SO_SNDBUF=131072
# Fix for OSX
unix extensions = no
[home]
path =/home
comment = home
guest ok = yes
writeable = yes
create mask = 0777')
I think just have to edit the "workgroup =" and "server string = alarm (IP: 192.168.2.114)" What every your IP is.
I tested it and made a new folder and copied a file to it. It works real good.
I had to start it up like this:
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '[root@alarm ~]# /etc/rc.d/samba start
:: Starting Samba Server [DONE]
[root@alarm ~]#')
Before it would error it I went to start it.
