[RESOLVED] Can't get MySQL to run.

Postby Raymondday » Mon Nov 21, 2011 4:48 pm

I don't know how to get this to run. This my help to show what is going on.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '[root@alarm mysqld]# /etc/rc.d/mysqld start
:: Starting MySQL Server [FAIL]
[root@alarm mysqld]# mysql -u root -p
Enter password:
ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)
[root@alarm mysqld]#')

I looked on Google a lot but nothing is fixing this. It just will FAIL when I do /etc/rc.d/mysqld start. Even after I do a lot of settings to things like I found on Google.

I hope some one knows how to get MySQL to run.

I got it to run. I think it was just making a bigger swopfile that = using the hard drive as RAM.

I was working on it here.
