Pacman troubles

Postby jttj » Tue Jul 10, 2012 9:56 pm

Hi there,

My pacman updated yesterday to 4.0.3-2, and now my pacman won't run. Whatever function I try and run, I just get a "Segmentation fault".

I've been trying to restore the pacman package, but reinstalling the installer is a pain! :) I've tried untarring the cached package from /var/cache/pacman to my root, but it hasn't made a difference. I guess my pkg is corrupted somehow, but I don't seem to have an older version cached.

I found the PKGBUILD files on the git repo, but It doesn't build successfully from those files. I edited the PKGBUILD file to work on armv7h, but it still wont build, so I'm probably missing something there.

I can't find a download source of any pre-built package files, so could someone give me a hand and post a download link for a ready-made ARM7 pkg for the current pacman and/or one previous?

Thanks guys.
