Platforms why only 1GB RAM.

I guess because the ARM CPU can only read 1GB of RAM. Is that right. But I guess some cell phones have more RAM then that.

There is a 2Gb ram cubox in the pipeline

Nope. It is because they are 32-bit and can only use 2GB safely at this point. AArch64 will change that. In the mean time, it's cheaper to use less ram.
