how to add modules in standard distrib

Postby pvswie » Thu Jan 17, 2013 1:59 pm

Hi All,

I am running archlinux (3.4.4-1ARCH) on a beagleboard.
I need to attach the beagleboard as a USB client to a host and run IP across the USB connection.
To do this it is neccessary to load the g_ether module.

This module however is not included in the distribution.
I failed to find these modules in the packages.
Is there any way to get this module? Or is building the kernel myself (together with some tweaking to have the proper modules included) my only way.

Any help is appreciated

Options:
1) make an issue @ github and ask that that module & deps be added to the config
2) make a pull request at github, with the requested changes
3) config, build & maintain yourself.
