Samsung ARM Chromebook Kernel

Postby johnnydisco » Mon Jul 29, 2013 7:03 am

Hi there,

I've managed to install Arch on an SD card following the instructions on the wiki here:

http://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv7 ... chromebook

But I have a question about the kernel you use. How is this made as the original Olof instructions on G+ created a file that was dd as an image to a partition, is it just renamed or is further magic involved as I noticed it was called 3.4.0-ARCH.

Many thanks,
John

Here is the PKGBUILD for it:
https://github.com/archlinuxarm/PKGBUIL ... chromebook

The resulting uimg can then either be used with our setup, or used as a dd'd image with no intermediate nv-uboot if you sign the image accordingly.

See http://pastie.org/8050454 for my instructions to use the simplified signing & original partition layout.
