pogoplug static wired interface netctl help

OK so i use my pogoplugs for some menial tasks and had them setup nicely. Well i decided to update one of them tonight (it's been a while sorry) and much to my dismay netcfg is not there anymore and is replaced with netctl. Now this is probably fine and all but i can not find anywhere the correct way to configure a static wired ip address. it boots up fine with dhcp but whenever i try and enable the config for the static ip i get job failed. If anyone can help out on this it would be appreciated.
