strange behaviour after update resulting in not mounting usb

Postby AlexDomay » Wed Apr 22, 2015 8:02 pm

Hi everybody.

I am running a
Linux backup 3.4.90 #1 SMP PREEMPT Wed Jul 2 15:10:20 CST 2014 armv7l GNU/Linux

on my banana Pi as a backup server in my LAN.

After the update to the said kernel i am no longer able to mount the USB-Disk:

with dmesg i can see the disk is recognized by the system and the mount command
mount /dev/sda1 /disks/d1
causes the disk to wake up, dmesg says the disk ist mounted, BUT a
ls /disks/d1 shows an empty directory. How can that be? BTW: the mount-point exists
and has correct permissions.

On another system the disk can be mounted (it is ext4 formatted) and i can see
all data on it. So the disk is not the problem.

Is anybody out here who can give me a hint?

Thanks in advance!
Alex.
