I ran:
pacman -S lxde

Then chose 10 the first time then 11 the second time. After choosing yes to proceed with installation I get the following error:
error: failed retrieving file 'dbus-core-1.4.14-1-armv7h.pkg.tar.xz' from archlinuxarm.org : Not Found

Update the system with 'pacman -Syu' first. It will resync with the repos and you should be able to download the newer packages. They updated dbus-core to 1.4.16 on the 10th. http://archlinuxarm.org/armv7h/core/

Hey guyz, seems like Cyanogenmod team ported android for the touchpad and they are using moboot and few others tools to make Android & WebOS dual-boot. Dont you think if you guyz use a similar method you will be able to make a native port of Archlinux?

I was thinking something along the same lines. I dont know code really but in theory adding an option to moboot and maybe making the boot partition a little bigger might be possible. There have been a few guys I know that had problems with the boot partition being to small to support webOS, bootie, CM, and CWM all together so It would definately have to be bigger to hold an archlinux kernel. All this is way over my head but I would love to get it working somehow :/

I'm game. Don't know much but willing to learn. The cm guys say there have been some negative side effects of resizing the boot partition so it may be kinda wonky to go that way. Hopefully its possible tho. I'll hop in the irc from time to time and see what's up.

Btw guyz, would it be easier or not having the arch chroot in android instead of webos?
Just thinking if its worth having a webos port when most people will use android it in anyway (until native arch arm comes ofc :)).

I actually like the webOS chroot method a little better. The Xserver integration is a bit better than androids method of using a vnc client. If you are only using arch for CLI, then its about the same. Its really a matter of opinion as either or works just as well. And yeah, native alarm needs to get here :D I cant wait to ditch android and webOS and run a native boot linux tablet. Im willing to do whatever it takes to get it done. Including reading 4million pages of instructions, I dont care I just want to see it done.
