Internal memory messed up?

Postby mutt765 » Wed Mar 28, 2012 2:38 pm

Hi everyone, I'm new and before I plead for help I'd just like to say thank you to everyone involved in this project. You guys are awesome!

I followed the installation instructions for my Pogoplug V3 (Pinky) and everything worked perfectly... until I restarted it by unplugging it. Now the LED just flashes constantly. So I followed the "It's not working!!" instructions at the bottom of the page and that went smoothly only the LED didn't turn off, it stayed on steady. So I went back to my main computer and successfully started an ssh session. I then realized that it was booting into the flash drive but when I ran fdisk -l it only showed the flash drive and nothing else.

Is the internal memory messed up forever? As a work-around solution, is there a way to make changes to the filesystem on the flash drive permanent?

Things I installed before I unplugged it:
    udev-automount
    apache
    ran a system update

Explain why your version of "restarting" was unplugging it ?

If it is booting off of the flash drive.. I'm confused. We don't use the internal memory for anything more than the kernel.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'I')'m confused. We don't use the internal memory for anything more than the kernel.

Seriously? I thought I was installing something on the pogoplug... damn, this is embarrassing. Ok in that case thank you very much for the quick reply and I'll go back to lurking in the corner now.
