I bricked my pogo plugged, couldn't ssh into it, apparently my static ip didnt stick, so I can't get into it. Made a serial cable using a cable from a cdrom, a blank dp9 connector that i connect to a gigaware usb serial cable. Now using Putty, i can get a connection but the output is garbled and unreadable. I've tried different baud rates but the output is still garbled. Com settings are:
115200, 8, N, 1, N
Wires used in cable to pogo:
Pin 1 GRD Pin 2 Rx pin3 Tx
Db 9 config
Pin 2 Rx pin 3Rx pin 5 GRD
so pin 2 on the pogo side goes to pin3 on the db9 and pin3 on the pogo goes to pin 2 on db9
Pin1 on pogo goes to pin 5 on DB 9
this is considering the back on the unit is facing me and the white 4 pin connector in the pogo is away from me.
Can someone please advise me as how to clear up the terminal output problem so I can read it? Any info would be much appreciated. For any haters out there, say what you want, it can't be any worse than what i've said to myself already.
