For those of you with /dev/null, /dev/random and /dev/urandom problems (e.g. Transmission not starting due to permission), you can follow https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php ... 9#p1123209 for a fix.

Updating the permissions in rc.local doesn't quite work since transmission is started first (at least it didn't work for me).

Thanks WarheadSE for your hard work.

Just to confirm, when I'm going to install Arch for the first time on the Pogo I do not need to do the update stuff afterwards since the newest rootfs and kernel are used, correct?

Correct.

If you are doing a fresh install, these are already there.

Hello,
does this update solve the issue with the usb serial (specially in my case to read usb - RS485 based on pl2603 driver from a pogoplug v2 black)?

The original issue is described here: viewtopic.php?f=29&t=2660

I just want to know If I take the risk to update or not.

Thanks for your help..

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'Flashing Kernel to slot A...
flash_erase: error!: /dev/mtd1
error 2 (No such file or directory)
nandwrite: error!: /dev/mtd1
error 2 (No such file or directory)')

I ran into the same error as jbhelfrich. No SSH and no ping reply. Any chance with reinstalling like here http://archlinuxarm.org/support/guides/system/reinstallation?
Or shall I dive straight into the Serial Stuff?

The fact that you have no mtd1 .. is a problem. What device do you have?
