Beaglebone LCD3 cape

Postby fvcuts » Wed Oct 17, 2012 8:53 am

Hi to all,
I have a beaglebone with an LCD3 cape. I cannot see anything on display. Trying with armstrong I can see that omaplfb module is loaded. On archlinux there is only a omapfb module, but loading it I cannot see anything anyway.
Hardware is working because with Armstrong I have no issue...

Thank You

Does /dev/fb0 exit? If it does I guess it is a backlight problem.
Try:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'i2cset -f -y 1 0x24 0x07 0x09
i2cset -f -y 1 0x24 0x08 0x60
')

You are right! Thank you!
May you tell me where I can found more info about chip 0x24 on bus 1? I'd like to understand registers that I used.

Bye

Sorry, can't tell I found out in the BeagleBoard forum, and have not had time to investigate more. When I got time I would like to find out how to change baclight intensity.
