Pink Pogoplug Basic root PW changed, nuke and pave option?

So I was really pretty negligent on maintaining my Pogoplug. I decided to upgrade to CouchPotato v2 and saw practically everything was out of date; the worst being glibc and by proxy, pacman. Well, suffice it to say I fucked things up and my /etc/shadow and passwd got messed up and I can't log into my device anymore.

I'm totally willing to wipe everything, but frankly I'm at a loss of where to begin since I can't even login.

I followed the guide and even though everything looks great before I ummount it from my Kubuntu VM, when I plug in the drive into the Pogoplug and reboot it it doesn't even get an IP address.

Add in the DHCP args of -A into /etc/network.d/wired-eth0

Still nothing doing. Green light in the front is just blinking like crazy perpetually.
