clang: error while loading shared libraries: libLLVM-3.2.so

Postby solarwind » Tue Jan 08, 2013 6:09 pm

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '% uname -a
Linux raspberrypi 3.6.11-2-ARCH+ #1 PREEMPT Mon Dec 31 23:00:25 UTC 2012 armv6l GNU/Linux

% clang
clang: error while loading shared libraries: libLLVM-3.2.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

% find / -name 'libLLVM-3.2.so'
/usr/lib/llvm/libLLVM-3.2.so

% LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/llvm/libLLVM-3.2.so clang
clang: error: no input files
')
There we go.

So one of these packages has a bug somewhere. Perhaps adding the directory to the LD path will fix it.

We're actually hunting an issue with the ld.so.cache not being read, that affects only the hf variants.

What does "hf variant" mean?

"hf" means "hard float", and basically, this problem is actually rearing on the v6h & v7h repos with the latest glibc chain.

Yup, this is a critical bug. Where's the bug reports section of this site?

Removing the cache and running ldconfig doesn't seem to do anything either.

1) We're aware of it, and have more detail that instance specific reports.
2) Issues are on GitHub (github.com/archlinuxarm/PKGBUILDs/issues)
