For one, it has a far more stabilized display interface, and second, it was specifically requested by the manufacturer and assisted to be tested heavily.

Don't make assumptions based on special case.

any hint/link/idea about how to enable at boot time the HDMI to see the terminal?

last question is: anything to do for the network ethernet interface? is that there? I could check directly but I haven't received that serial port yet, thanks.

All images are root/root as a matter of policy.

I also could not get a system to boot on my pcDuino after using the method described in http://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv7/pcduino
Getting the first (FAT) boot partition right seems to be the problem.

I solved this after a couple of failed attempts by installing the Ubuntu SD bootable image (see http://www.pcduino.com/?page_id=14) on another SD card and copying its first partition across to the first partition on the Arch SD card. It would probably have been just as easy to overwrite the second partition on the Ubuntu SD card with the Arch root system.

The boot partition supplied therefore appears to be able to boot either Ubuntu or Arch from the second partition on the SD card.

Hope this helps.

You need to pay attention to the start block/sector. They should be made to be aligned.

guys you are doing OK but provide the base and lack of documentation are two different matters.

Here, as example, a better post with a complete script to at least create that SD card you mention in the installation.

I've created myself a reduced version of that script to drop the second part but still create a generic A10 bash able to format an SD that works. I might post it later on but I have the feeling it won't be welcome here.

Anway, right now in ssh, it works like a charm, thank you.

PS thanks for the highlight I've never put on my initial post ... very ... well ... you know, that wasn't me, WTF!
