[dockstar] No IP from DHCP; Where is the netconsole-Howto?

Postby moddy » Thu May 02, 2013 6:57 pm

Hi.
The dockstar does not get an IP from the Router (fresh install).
Now i wanted to check the booting with netconsole. Moonman did often wrote that there is a HowTo in his signature, but i can't find it.

How can i activate it?

Is uBoot right about that? If one of the other usb devices is actually a storage device, too, then detach it before booting and see if it proceeds. Btw. you can also get kernel messages via netconsole.

See what kernel netconsole tell you. It's setup on a different port and sends messages to a different IP (10.10.10.5 i think) get a second terminal going that listens on that address.
