I am using it as a motion sensing security webcam, that is constantly writing snapshot pictures and or motion capture videos. The problem occurs after a random number of days that ranges from 1 to 20 days. At most, 5GB of disc space is consumed by motion capture records. All software continues running beyond the point when the logon credentials fail.
Device details : Pogoplug v2 Pink with USB memory stick or hard drive, plus USB Logitech C120 webcam
(I have tried many different USB memory sticks and a 500GB USB hard drive, all with the same results.)
Installation steps :
- Arch linux,
- packages :motion, lighttpd, php-cgi, openntpd, ffmpeg,
- set timezone to Europe/London
- configure motion and lighttpd
Running software: motion, lighttpd & intermittent calls to ffmpeg
Please advise if there is any way to avoid this issue, or how to recover from it when it occurs again.
