[fcron] Aborted (core dumped)

I am using fcron 3.1.2-6 on armv6h running on a raspberry-pi. It aborts shortly after starting due to a buffer overflow. This is on a clean install so everything should be up to date. Running a debug trace:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '
[root@raspberry ~]# fcron -f -d
2013-05-25 19:27:34 DEBUG fcronconf=/etc/fcron/fcron.conf
2013-05-25 19:27:34 INFO fcron[593] 3.1.2 started
2013-05-25 19:27:34 DEBUG Socket initialized : listen_fd : 5 set_max_fd : 5
2013-05-25 19:27:34 DEBUG Entering main loop
2013-05-25 19:27:34 INFO @reboot jobs will only be run at computer's startup.
2013-05-25 19:27:34 INFO updating configuration from /var/spool/fcron
2013-05-25 19:27:34 INFO adding file systab
2013-05-25 19:27:34 DEBUG User systab Entry
*** buffer overflow detected ***: fcron terminated
Aborted (core dumped)
[root@raspberry ~]#
')

I have down-graded to a prior version (fcron-3.1.1-1-armv6h.pkg.tar.xz) and this works fine.
