How to re install everything from scratch in POGO-E02

Postby emagineit » Fri Aug 09, 2013 3:36 pm

Guys,I'm a total noobie and I badly need your help.
I have setup my pogoplug taking help from these two instructions.
http://blog.qnology.com/2013/03/tutoria ... linux.html
http://obihoernchen.net/wordpress/770/p ... rch_linux/
As I wanted to use my HDD to be NTFS so I can use elsewhere and totally messed it up.
My issues are:
1>The system doesn't softboot at all.It will boots after hard reset that too after trying 2/3 times.
2>The system doesn't boot at all when HDD is attached
So I tried this method
http://mouhassan.wordpress.com/2012/06/ ... -usb-disk/
But seems that is not working too.
I just want the OS to run from USB Thumb drive and use HDD in NTFS format with autmount option and SAMBA but considering the situation I think I will just follow the first instruction set as that is working for most and live with ext3 in HDD and to make sure everything is clean I want to undo things I have done.
So my question is is there a safe way I can reinstall everything from scratch in a new Thumbdrive as I guess my thumbdrive sucks and root of every problem.
The only guide I found so far is this
viewtopic.php?f=18&t=4899
but it is giving me wget command not found error in the very first step itself. Please please help and also kindly suggest which thumbdrive performs best in this situation so I can get one.My HDD is a 2TB Fantom.
thanks a zillion for your help guys.I'm a total noobie.

A Google search would have turned up the page we wrote on the main site: http://archlinuxarm.org/support/reinstallation

Don't get upset, it gets old quickly when we have to repeat the same thing over and over and over again because people don't use search (or don't know how to use it).

Either way.. the link to a liitle more newbie friendly version of reinstalling guide is in my siignature. Use ext3 for filesystem.
