I think you might be onto something as this hasn't been tested extensively. Can someone else reproduce?
I think permissions need to be different on the folders along with the architechture that I used in the config (I used arm,but it seems to want to create folders with armv5tel names). I'll take a look at it in bit. I'm working on porting the patch for bubba3 device to 3.10 kernel atm.

IGNORE this post, it didn't work.

I was having a similar problem with the x86 version.

What I found was that PMS was deleting the /opt/plexmediaserver/Resources/Plug-ins/Framework.bundle/Contents/Resources/Versions
I changed the owner of that directory and its subs to root, and made sure that the user "plex" started pms ( edit /etc/conf.d/plexmediaserver to ensure "plex" is the user.

Here is how I recommend trying my fix on the Plug.
1) systemctl stop plexmediaserver
2) verify that you have a "plex" user, if not create one
2) reinstall plexmediaserver from pacman
3) chown -R plex:users /opt/plexmediaserver
4) chown -R root:root /opt/plexmediaserver/Resources/Plug-ins/Framework.bundle/Contents/Resources/Versions
5) /opt/plexmediaserver/start_pms
report any error messages here.
If you get none, then you are good. Try it an let us know

I had a few extra minutes today, so I tried to duplicate the issue on my pogo V2.
I installed the package from the repo, I initially got an error message saying the directory already existed, so it wouldn't copy anything over. Plex still started with no errors from start_pms, but when I tried to add media, it wouldn't work.

So, I uninstalled the package ( pacman -R plexmediaserver). After that was done I killed all the plex processes, deleted the /opt/plexmediaserver directory and then reinstalled the package.
It works fine now.

Thanks SocalTom for the debugging.

What worked for me was to realize that the framework.bundle was not getting generated properly (I nuked it before as per instruction on plex forums). Even though the folder was getting created again, it was missing the files.

I copied over the contents from Resources folder in /opt/plexmediaserver/ to the Plug-ins folder and it seemed to work better on my E02. I'll try it later on P22 to check that too.

That said, pogoplug is super slow to allow any kind of of streaming given that there is no transcoding. I wasn't able to play any xvid file even on the browser.

Playing a xvid over the browser would be transcoding, hence why it didn't work :)
