Booting Arch in ODROID-U2

Postby chippey5 » Wed Oct 09, 2013 8:05 pm

So I got my ODROID-U2 last week and wanted to have arch on it (because I don't like ubuntu, for a couple of reasons).

I followed this guide:http://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv7/samsung/odroid-u2 to install Arch on the odroid. The actual problems comes to when I have the SD card inserted and when I boot the U2. The blue activity button flashes a little bit (Indicates that it's loading) then it goes to a double flash pattern. Just continuing like that and my monitor isn't showing anything. Has anyone had this problem aswell?

I followed the steps exactly as it said. DD:ed it over, synced. even retried downloading the image and re-DDed it but the double led flash pattern shows up again. :?

Any help would be appreciated :D

But how should the installation be done? Shouldn't a prompt pop up or am I completely wrong?

Sorry to trouble you but I'm entirely new with the Odroid U2. I'm entirely new to it. Having some experience and a little knowledge in linux I wasn't aware of this. I'm coming from a RPi where it's pretty much simplified.

Guess I won't be able to install arch on my device since I don't have the possibility to SSH to it when I can't get an actual prompt up and I don't have the tools to be able to SSH to it. :x

1) ssh comes enabled
2) Do you have another computer with a network connection?

Good thing I read this thread because I was about to ask whether or not the Odroid-U2 supports HDMI because I wasn't getting getting any video out but when I connected it to the UART bridge everything was booting up fine! Looks like it's on to installing KDE/LXDE.

USB keyboard would work. Working blind, carefully logging in, you could pacman stuff start the GUI.
