Have you confirmed the pin order on the serial adapter? If the Tx & Rx pins are swapped, you're going to get squat. Same with the Gnd pin being off/loose/wrong.

Hi yes i have checked the pins, Everything seems fine, I have tried following the "UART booting guide" but it doesn't seem to be working, I'm just stuck at "Sending boot message. Please reboot the target..."

According to the ebay page, "This cable has 5 wires connected including the M (red),V (yellow), RX (blue), TX (white) and GND (black)."

I have it set to go from left to right > GND > RX > TX so the RX goes with the TX pin and vice versa. This is right isn't it?

Thanks.

That should be correct. However, please note that some connectors label the pins for not their own tx & rx, but the destinations. It really does cause confusion.

I tried that already :( tried most things there but no luck. Should be worth mentioning this is a new serial cable and has never been tested on a actual device, my old 1 broke.
