I'm also running this kernel on cubietruck, but i put it on the sd card
Another problem:

Only 1 GB RAM is recognized. Is this correct or normal?
I thought the cubietruck got 2 GB RAM.

Found the problem , wrong u-boot version.
I compiled U-Boot and put it on the sd cart with dd.
In the sunxi u-boot sources in file board/sunxi/dram_cubietruck.c is already the right ram size.

Sorry, today i noticed that the hdmi output does not work. And do not know why.
It should have to do something with the u-boot image, i compiled. Maybe i forgot something to set before starting the compilation.
Do you have any idea what the problem could be?

Now i got it running.
@faralai, you can also build the u-boot image. You can try it with the sunxi howo http://linux-sunxi.org/U-Boot#Compilation. I used only the u-boot-sunxi-with-spl.bin file.
My boot partition only contains only 5 files:
boot.cmd, boot.src, script.bin , uEnv.txt uImage

I noticed that the fex file from https://github.com/cubieboard/cubie_configs - enables the vga by default. Changed it. $this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'screen0_output_type = 3')

Hi everyone. My apologies for my lack of (any)Linux experience. My 1st time here. I hope I'm posting in the correct area.
I've recently learned of this board, the CubieTruck.

Purpose:
Can this be done for the CubieTruck? I feel the CubieTruck would blow away the Raspberry Pi Model B when it comes to BitCoin mining applications.

The Task at hand:
I was wondering if anyone would be able to replicate what has been done for the Raspberry Pi model B board in the Raspberry Pi community using ArchLinux?
Noobs like me are fortunate enough to have a plug and play ArchLinux distro image, known as Minepeon v2.4.3, is ready to go for the Raspberry Pi Model B with Bitfury IceFury, ASICminer & ButterflyLabs Bitforce, CP210x USB to UART Bridge VCP compatible drivers for the Block erupters, CGMiner & BFGMiner apps auto loading with network & SSH remote access all ready to go. All this on a self-bootable SD-based image written onto an SD card. Is this asking for too much?

The CubieTruck is not a SoC. It is a board. It has a SoC on it. Also, this mysterious image you are talking about is entirely unofficial, and you should talk to it's distributor.
